Joost Widget developers site
Welcome to the Joost Widget Developers site. These pages describe how to make and test Widgets for the Joost platform.
Joost Widgets are independently developed software components that run inside Joost. Built from simple, powerful and standardized Web technologies, our Widget platform allows developers to extend the Joost viewing experience. On this site you can find APIs, examples to download and try, answers to common questions and the terms of use for the API platform.
Download the latest build here (you may like to try a preview build from our developer blog). If you would like your widget linked below, please send a mail to widget-announce (at) joost.com. Please read the release notes to find out what has changed with the API and current known issues.
The widgets below have been made in-house at Joost to demonstrate some of the functionality. These are all licensed under the BSD-like JOWL license, so you can use the code in them (with attribution) in your own widgets. Some are complex and fully functional widgets while others are simple code samples. These simple examples are good starting points - pick them apart to find out how they work.
